Slovak National Collection of Wine

National collection (Národný salón vín Slovenskej republiky) is located in the cellar of historical Castle in Pezinok. Idea of this project is to present the best of Slovak wines to visitors slovak or foreign and to offer them a possibility to taste these wines in one of the beautiest cellars in Slovakia.



100 Slovak wines are choosed in competition to be presented in the cellar for the next year. You can taste these wines there, but you can buy some bottles there too. This project already gained thousands of fans to Slovak wines. So if you plan your visit to Slovakia, don't forget to visit Pezinok and it's Castle's cellar, you will be amazed by the quality of our wines.

Martin Pomfy - Mavín winery

Martin Pomfy established his winery Mavín in 2001 with plan to produce low cost wines, but he wasn't satisfied with his these kind of wines and so he changed his attention to high-quality wines. Finally he proved it. His Cabernet Sauvignon rosé 2009 was awarded with gold medal on Vinalies Internationales Paris. Like he said, he's fanatic  to wine producing, he loves everything connected with wines and nowadays he tries to procude wines with minimum interferences during the process of their production...


Nowadays he's member of association Wines of Vinosady (which is a village where he's settled and where he produces his wines). Some of this most used varieties of grapes are: Muller Thurgau, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, Slovak grape variety - Dunaj, then Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufrankisch and Alibernet.

Mrva & Stanko winery

Winery Víno Mrva & Stanko belongs to middle sized wineries of Slovakia with its volume of production. Its production changed from previous 12 thousand to present 400 thousand bottles during the years. This is the limit that the company in regard of keeping top quality doesn't want to exceed.

Grape varietes are sufficient. 15 to 20 types of wine of high quality with distinct character of variety. Some of the most popular are Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufrankisch (typical for Slovakia), Pinot Gris, Sauvignon or Gewurztraminer. There are some of Slovakia's specials - Devin and Dunaj - slovak grape varietes.

Mrva & Stanko was already awarded on the hugest and most famous world-wide wine competitions like  Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Vinalies Internationales Paris or AWC Vienna International Wine Challenge.

Some of Mrva & Stanko's wines have been already exported to United Kingdom of China succeessful.
