Martin Pomfy established his winery Mavín in 2001 with plan to produce low cost wines, but he wasn't satisfied with his these kind of wines and so he changed his attention to high-quality wines. Finally he proved it. His Cabernet Sauvignon rosé 2009 was awarded with gold medal on Vinalies Internationales Paris. Like he said, he's fanatic to wine producing, he loves everything connected with wines and nowadays he tries to procude wines with minimum interferences during the process of their production...
Nowadays he's member of association Wines of Vinosady (which is a village where he's settled and where he produces his wines). Some of this most used varieties of grapes are:
Muller Thurgau, Chardonnay, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc, Slovak grape variety - Dunaj, then Cabernet Sauvignon, Blaufrankisch and Alibernet.
